EXTRA AMBULANCE CREWS
Extra crews are to be put on the road by East of England ambulance service for the next few months, following this week’s summit meeting to discuss delays for patients.
Private ambulance services will be brought in to provide more cover….and hospitals are being told to take patients into emergency units quicker.
Extra staff will also be put on duty at peak times….and a full inquiry made of all problems due to delays over the Christmas period.
REVOLUTIONARY OPERATION FOR RICKINGHALL WOMAN
A Rickinghall woman is set to be one of the first people in the country to have a revolutionary new operation on her heart.
51 year old Karen Sinclair is to have her pulmonary valve replaced in the operation….only carried out on about 100 people in the world so far.
Karen….manager of the PDSA charity shop in Diss….recently got married to her husband…and told the Diss Express that she decided to try this new operation….developed in China….instead of open heart surgery.
POLICE INVESTIGATE ONLINE ABUSE OF FARMER
Police are investigating…..after a dairy farmer at Bungay complained of online abuse, because of his business.
The owner of Fen Farm Dairy, Jonny Crickmore says he has had to block hundreds of abusive messages on social media this week …..apparently from vegan activist groups.
LIONEL RICHIE TICKETS GO ON SALE
Tickets have gone on sale for the Lionel Richie concert in Norfolk in the summer.
There has been some criticism of the price of tickets…but organisers expect them to sell quickly for the concert in the grounds at Holkham Hall in June.
POLICE HELP EXPECTANT MOTHER
Police in Diss have come to the rescue of an expectant mother when she went into labour with twins..
They stopped to help the woman and her partner in Victoria Road early this morning….. when the couple thought they wouldn’t be able to get to hospital in time.
The officers stood by ….until an ambulance quickly took the couple to the N and N.
Norwich City manager Daniel Farke says that he is now looking to get promotion from the Championship next year.
He says that the club’s transfer business is aimed at moving up to the Premier League next year.
Meanwhile, City are at home to Middlesboro tomorrow afternoon….while Ipswich Town travel to the north-east to take on struggling Sunderland.
