After the big freeze, the big thaw is underway with temperatures expected to get up to around 7 or degrees today.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to continue in that vein for the rest of the week with night time likely to stay above freezing as well.
Meanwhile, police in Norfolk say they dealt with about two thousand snow related incidents last week.
TRAINS TO RUN A NORMAL SERVICE
Greater Anglia are planning to run a normal weekday service from this morning but there may be disruption to rural services.
REDGRAVE PUB RE-OPENS
The doors are open again at the Cross Keys pub in Redgrave.
And the village’s community society are celebrating the re-opening of the pub after a successful fund raising campaign over the past year.
The first drinks since the pub closed in October were served on Saturday evening and the place was packed.
As well as a bar, the Cross Keys has a restaurant and now the community group formed especially to try to save the pub is looking to take over the village shop.
PLANS FOR PET CREMATORIUM
A Halesworth couple have put forward plans to open a pet crematorium near Halesworth.
The two want to start the cremation business in a farm building on land off Mill Lane in St James South Elmham.
The local council is recommending approval for the idea which would be aimed at a small number of clients weekly.
