DEADLY ACCIDENT AT GARBOLDISHAM
A woman has been killed in a serious road crash involving four vehicles at Garboldisham.
The accident at the Smallworth crossroads closed the A1066 through the village for around six
The woman, said to be in her seventies, was a passenger in a car and died at the scene.
The driver of the car has been taken to hospital with head injuries and another driver suffered minor injuries.
Police are asking for witnesses to contact them.
Meanwhile, villagers have told the Diss Mercury that although speed warning signs were put up following a fund raising campaign, some motorists are continuing to ignore them.
THOUSANDS RAISED FOR CHARITY IN MEMORY OF BABY BOY
A couple from Forncett St Mary have raised over £16,000….after organising a special charity ball in memory of their baby son.
The two….Justin Thorndyke and Susie Ash lost their son before his first birthday to a rare genetic disease last year.
Around 300 people attended the event in Norwich…….with the proceeds going to the East Anglian Children’s Hospice in Quidenham.
HARLESTON TEEN GOES BALD FOR CANCER RESEARCH
And a Harleston teenager has raised around £800 for charity….by having her hair all cut off.
13 year old Ruby McCabe originally hoped to bring in £100 for Cancer Research but the funds have kept on pouring in.
Football….and both Ipswich and Norwich are in action tonight, after their weekend games were hit by the weather. City are at home to Nottingham Forest, while Town travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
Diss Town’s game at Clacton against Holland FC has been called off tonight.
