SHOCK FOR PEOPLE ON NEW HOUSING ESTATE
People living on a new housing estate at Framlingham have been shocked to hear that their new homes don’t yet have full planning permission.
They’ve all received letters from the local council to say that there are still problems with the Mount Pleasant development.
It’s understood that final amendments to plans, sent in by builders last year, had not been approved. Councillors may now visit the site to try and settle the issues, mainly involving the site layout and the outside look of the buildings.
CAR THIEF TO ADMIT TO MORE OFFENCES
A Bungay man, charged with stealing two cars, has had his sentence adjourned, after agreeing to discuss other offences with police.
31 year old Jeffrey McKeown had admitted a burglary at a house in Gisleham in May, when he stole two sets of car keys. He also admitted theft in connection with the cars, a Range Rover and BMW X5.
His barrister told the court that McKeown, of Hillside Road East, would ask to have the other offences considered when sentenced.
FORMER ENGLAND CRICKET CAPTAIN AT BROME
Former England cricket captain Alistair Cook will be answering questions about his life and career at a special event near Diss.
The event will take place just a few weeks after his final Test match, starting tomorrow.
He’ll be the guest for a Q & A session at the Brome Grange Hotel on October 18th, with former England selector Geoff Miller hosting the event.
TOWN OWNER WANTS ACTION ON CLUB ACADEMIES
Ipswich Town owner Marcus Evans has called on the F.A. and Football League to bring in new rules over young Academy players.
He wants action to reduce major Premier League teams being able to poach Academy youngsters from other clubs for “next to nothing”
He says it is making most clubs question the value of paying the cost of running academies. Town lost four young players in the close season.
FORMER CANARIES RETURN TO CARROW ROAD
Former Norwich City players James Maddison and Angus Gunn will be back at Carrow Road tonight. They’re both included in the England under 21 squad to play the Netherlands in a European championship qualifying tie.
