To commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One we have a re-run of a programme first broadcast on PARK RADIO in April - from Sunday evening 26 August starting at 6pm.

"Suffolk's War" is a twelve-part radio drama commissioned by Park Radio and written by a local playwright.

Thousands of local families made sacrifices during the First World War experiencing loss of lives and hardships at home and abroad.

The series revolves around one of these families; set on a farm in Suffolk and based on real events it is told through the eyes of a family whose oldest son is sent to fight in the war with the younger son left behind to help run the family farm.

It is a very poignant and heartwarming story set on our very doorstep written and performed by local people.

Thanks to Sienna James, the writer, Eyes Write and The BANK in Eye for there help with the production.

The series will run up to Armistice Day on Sunday 11th November, Remembrance Sunday.
